I am proud to report that many of the family lines in my own family that I have researched have led to relatives who served in the military. During the Revolutionary War many served. How cool is that to have descended from those who were there when the battle to form this fledgling country was being fought.

I cannot help but think of the words of Thomas Jefferson, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure." Proud to be an American, and thankful for our forefathers on this day.
